Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Yahaya, has cautioned residents to ensure the maintenance of peace to enable uninhibited exploration in Kolmani fields.
Already, there have been verbal disagreements in the media over the actual owners of Kolmani one, two, three, four, and five.
based on the remarks of the President, Muhammadu Buhari, during the inauguration, the discovery would yield the country over 3 billion dollars in investment.
According to Yahaya, exploration would not only be disrupted but investors in may leave the state and the relative peace becomes threatened.
Yahaya said this at the palace of Mai Kaltungo, Saleh Mohammed, when his campaign train arrived in Kaltungo after completing ward-to-ward campaigns in Balanga.
The Governor expressed worry and therefore cautioned that disputes between communities in the State could also arise if measures are not taken to keep the communities peaceful.
Yahaya noted with emphasis the critical roles of the traditional institutions, stressing that they are stakeholders in ensuring peaceful co-existence among the people. Punch
