Jonathan says Northwest remains Nigeria’s political path finder, rally support for Atiku

By Ado Hassan, Sokoto

Former president Goodluck Jonathan yesterday  identified with the politics and numerical strength of the Northwest saying ” the region is the political path finder for candidates victory.”

Speaking at the inauguration of the zone’s PDP presidential campaign in Sokoto, Jonathan noted that the Northwest would show the direction and way for the country.

According to the immediate past president, PDP still remain the best and credible platform that has the requirements to forge the country ahead.

Jonathan described Atiku as an experienced, tested and confirmed as the desirous person to lead Nigeria, adding” he has demonstrated such in both his public and private life. He is the one to drive the economy to prosperity.”

He advised Nigerians to vote wisely otherwise, “our children and posterity would not forgive us.”

He observed that Nigeria was always faced with the challenges of making good leadership ” today we have the firm believe that Atiku can deliver”, he said.

Senate President and Director General of the party’s presidential campaign council, Senator Bukola Saraki said Northwest has spoken and the entire Nigeria has spoken to go with Atiku who has the unparalleled qualities to overcome the multiple challenges of insurgency, poverty,  unemployment and infrastructural deficits that have bedevilled the survival of an average citizen of the country.

The National chairman of the party, Chief Uche Secondus said PDP is on a rescue mission to let Nigeria work again, describing Atiku Abubakar as the best of all candidates contesting 2019 elections.

” He will wipe away your tears, provide food and security of lives and property.”

Secondus described President Buhar’s led government as a total failure while cautioning against any attempt to rig the upcoming elections.

” Any one who tries that will automatically be rigging himself out. Nigerians will not accept but only a free, fair and credible election. The masses are ready to give PDP votes. No body can use INEC to rig election. I am conveying the message of Nigerians”, he insisted.
