…..Set To Challenge Result In Courts.
Kaduna State PDP has described some of the results already announced in the Saturday, May 12th Council elections in the state as cooked up, which did not reflect the true wishes of the people, as the process was marred by irregularities, outright rigging and a grand design to truncate the election process and substitute the results that were duly collated at the polling units with imaginary results.
The State Party Chairman, Hon. Felix Hassan Hyat stated this while addressing newsmen Sunday, 13 May, at the State Party Secretariat in reaction to the results released so far, which put the ruling APC in a landslide lead.
According to the PDP Chairman, “some of the Returning Officers were reported to have disappeared into thin airs, some missing, while others kidnapped on their way to the Collation Centres”, and wondered were some of the results that were announced were found.
He therefore called on party faithful to remain calm and law abiding, as the mandates they willfully gave to their respective candidates will be challenged and retrieve at the law courts through a civilized process, as the party believe in the rule of law.
Procyon News, reports that the PDP Chairman described the massive turn out of party supporters at the council elections as a practical sign that the party was ready to take over power come 2019. He therefore thanked them for their continued support of the ideals the party stands for.
