Sultan urges Nigerians to live in peace for nation’s unity, progress

SULTAN of Sokoto and President -General, Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs‎(NSCIA), Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III has appealed to Nigerians irrsepctive  diversity to live in peace with one another for the unity of the country.
“I am calling on all Nigerians to imbibe and embrace the culture and spirit of living peace irrespective of tribal, ethnic or regional differences.”
Abubakar made the plea on Thursday in a statement issued to Newsmen in Sokoto.
He said Nigeria will continue to remain one Nation with a common goal of purposeful development.
Abubakar said the act of some few bad one’s amongst us cannot be left to tear the country apart and that those bad one’s should be called to order by their elders and community leaders to stop such negative action.
The reverred monarch and leader further challenged elder statesmen to call the youth to order and educate them on the need for a peace full coexistence in their respective geo-political zones.
He said traditional leaders in the country will continue to preach and love amongst the diverse communities in their respective domain throughout the country.
The Sultan further added that it’s the act of God that brought the different tribes of different religions and diverse rich and beautiful cultures to come together to form one country; Nigeria and its, he who will protect our sovereignty.
He called on all citizens throughout the country to live in peace and respect one another and go about their normal businesses
The Sultan commended Federal and state Governments as well as Security agencies in their collective efforts to bring sustain peace and development in the country.
