You are a threat to the 2023 election – AA tells Prof. Mahmood

The Action Alliance Party has said that the real threat to the 2023 elections is the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Prof. Mahmood Yakubu and not insecurity, as insinuated by the Commission.

This was contained in a statement by the National Chairman of the Party, Dr. Adekunle Rufai Omo-Aje, in a statement made available to the media in Kaduna on the 10th of January, 2023.

According to him, the INEC Chairman was actually alerting the nation that he has sinister agendas to make the 2023 elections fail through his impunity by illegally excluding Action Alliance from contesting

He said the party had earlier warned that Prof. Mahmood Yakubu is already setting booby traps for the elections with his unethical practices.

Omo-Aje added that it is laughable hearing that his proffered reasons now are focused on insecurity, Saying Prof Yakubu is being economical with the truth.

The AA Chairman observed that in fairness to the Security apparatus, the Government agents saddled with our national security had assured us all, starting with the military, to the police force, the DSS, and the rest of them, they have all assured that they are on the top of the security situations.

“There is no real excellence in this world that can be separated from doing what is right and living right. Prof. Mahmood Yakubu is doing what is wrong and evil, but feigning the right result.

“Though he is busy as ants, he is busy orchestrating plans to jeopardize the outcome of this coming election, the fate of candidates, and set Nigeria on fire at his appointed time, by refusing to recognize the authentic National Chairman of Action Alliance in the person of my very self, Hon. (Dr.) Adekunle Rufai Omo-Aje.

_”The personality of Prof. Mahmood Yakubu as chairman of INEC is the only threat to the 2023 elections, and not insecurity as being postulated. _

_”He has been undermining the Judiciary, with reckless abandon. His recalcitrant arrogance in attitude is worse and more dangerous than his purported and identified criminals. _

It is a laughable hearing that his proffered reasons now are focused on insecurity. We say here emphatically that Prof Yakubu is being economical with the truth.

He is actually alerting the nation that he has sinister agendas to make the 2023 elections fail through his impunity by illegally excluding Action Alliance from contesting.

In fairness to our Security apparatus, the Government agents saddled with our national security had assured us all, starting with the military, the police force, the DSS, and the rest of them, they have all assured that they are on top of the security situations.

However, the major threat to the 2023 election is Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, chairman of the Independent national electoral commission (INEC) himself!

There is no real excellence in this world that can be separated from doing what is right and living right. Prof. Mahmood Yakubu is doing what is wrong and evil, but feigning the right result. Though he is busy as ants, he is busy orchestrating plans to jeopardize the outcome of this coming election, and the fate of candidates, and set Nigeria on fire at his appointed time, by refusing to recognize the authentic National Chairman of Action Alliance in the person of my very self, Hon. (Dr.) Adekunle Rufai Omo-Aje.

“Going by available records I, Hon. (Dr.) Adekunle Rufai Omo-Aje with the Executives of Action Alliance that I lead has won several Court cases, from High Courts in courts of Appeals and submitted all to the commission, yet Prof Mahmood Yakubu refused to honour the judgments flagrantly.

“This is sort of expected from any man playing a lead role, in a very sensitive institution of Government like INEC. The position of this prominence should be occupied by men with impeccable character.

” Men that shun favour and are blind to patronages in whatever form. Unfortunately, Prof. Mahmud is not as patriotic enough to obey the rule of law, but regrettably, prefers to jettison court judgments presented to his commission and decides to look the other way.

The great insecurity he proffered is the exclusion of my candidates from the ballot. It could cause the country a great political disaster!

“Let me explain this to you, the fear of INEC is purported insecurity which is alright to be sceptical about, but you will agree with me that their operations are isolated, but any election conducted this year without me, Hon Dr. Adekunle Rufai Omo-Aje’s list of candidates being part of such election under the platform of Action Alliance, such elections will be declared null and void, from State House of Assembly to the Presidency, the winners of such election will revolt while the losers will rejoice.

“Who can say what will come out of such political tumults that could ensue after a judicial pronouncement of such elections as annulled?” he asked.
