FCT Police Command has categorically denied reports that a military officer, Lieutenant AM Yarima, was trailed by unidentified persons in two unmarked Hilux vans in the Kubwa area on Sunday evening.

The incident, according to initial military sources, saw the occupants of the unmarked vehicles tailing Lieutenant Yarima from the NIPCO Station off the Kubwa Motorway all the way through Gado Nasco Road, prompting the officer to conduct escape maneuvers to lose his pursuers. The sources had indicated that the incident was under investigation.
However, the FCT Police Command swiftly countered the narrative. Reacting to the report, the Command’s spokesperson, SP Josephine Adeh, stated:
“The Command wishes to categorically state that no such incident has been reported or recorded anywhere within the Federal Capital Territory.”
The denial from the police command contrasts sharply with the earlier disclosures from military authorities regarding the incident.
