Nigerian comedian Bovi Ugboma has slammed the Super Eagles following their 4–2 penalty shootout defeat to Morocco in the 2025 AFCON semi-finals.

In a video broadcast, Bovi accused the players of being “distracted” by social media and excessive fan praise, which he believes led to a lack of focus and passion during the crucial match in Rabat.
Addressing reports of unpaid match bonuses, Bovi urged the players to prioritize national pride over financial disputes with the NFF, stating that “the weight of a nation” lies in their hands.
He concluded with a stern message, advising players not to represent Nigeria if they are not fully committed to giving their all for the country.
