President Tinubu Returns to Nigeria Following Four-Week European Trip

President Bola Tinubu returned to the country on Tuesday evening following a four-week extended stay in Europe, landing at the presidential wing of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos.

The presidential aircraft, Nigerian Air Force One, touched down from Paris at approximately 6:22 p.m.. Media coverage of the arrival was restricted, with journalists present at the airport barred from capturing visual recording of the President’s arrival as the aircraft taxied to the terminal.

President Tinubu’s European trip commenced on August 30, when he departed Nigeria for London before proceeding to Paris, France.

While in the French capital, the President held bilateral discussions and attended a dinner hosted by French President Emmanuel Macron.

His return concludes his weeks-long absence ahead of national events scheduled to mark Nigeria’s 66th Independence Anniversary.
