The group is looking at incidents that happened after Morocco beat Cameroon on Friday and Nigeria defeated Algeria on Saturday.

As part of the fallout, the Algerian team has filed an official complaint against the referee, Issa Sy from Senegal, claiming his decisions during their match against Nigeria were unfair.

Videos from the stadium showed Algerian players following the referee down the tunnel to confront him, while other recordings showed arguments between players and reporters in the media area. There were also reports of Algerian fans fighting with security guards after the game

In a statement released on Monday, CAF said it has gathered video evidence of behavior that it considers unacceptable. The organization warned that it may issue punishments or fines once the investigation is finished.
