The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has opened registration for the 2026 UTME and Direct Entry admissions.

The board released the update late Tuesday night via its official X handle, marking the beginning of the admission process for the 2026/2027 academic session.
Registration runs from January 26 to February 28, 2026, with the main examination scheduled for April 16 to April 25, 2026.
A key requirement this year is the National Identification Number (NIN) for all applicants. Additionally, JAMB has enforced a strict age policy: candidates must be at least 16 years old by September 30, 2026, to be eligible, though highly gifted younger students may apply for a waiver if they meet specific academic benchmarks.
