Popular Afrobeats singer and entrepreneur, Oluwatosin Ajibade, widely known as Mr Eazi, has revealed his future political ambitions, stating his intention to run for the presidency of an African country.

The ‘Leg Over’ crooner, who recently married Temi Otedola, daughter of billionaire businessman Femi Otedola, made the disclosure in a video broadcast via Snapchat.
“I have been thinking about it. I think it’s time to share it with you guys. Some of you might be from some country, specifically in Africa, and you are looking for a president; a president who is not looking for money and power but forward-thinking, young, active and can move your country better,” he declared.
Mr Eazi officially stated, “So, I’m officially putting myself forward for the presidency.”
Despite being Nigerian by birth, the artist has a close affinity with Ghana, where he studied and also launched his music career. He has previously credited Ghana with influencing his unique style of music, which he calls Banku music.
His announcement follows a growing trend of Nigerian celebrities venturing into politics, including actress Eniola Badmus, who revealed her intention of becoming a senator in the near future in April 2025.
