Nigeria Cricket Federation Kicks Off 2026 U-17 Zonal Qualifiers

The Nigeria Cricket Federation has commenced zonal qualification rounds across all six geopolitical zones to select talent for the 2026 National U-17 Boys and Girls Championships.

The qualifying series began on February 18 in the South West and South East regions and is scheduled to conclude nationwide by March 1.

Top performers from all 36 states are competing for the opportunity to represent their respective zones at the national finals in Abuja.

Qualifying matches are currently underway at the MKO Abiola Sports Arena in Abeokuta for the South West and at Government College, Owerri, for the South East.

Following these initial rounds, the North West qualifiers will begin in Kaduna on February 25, while the North East states will gather in Adamawa.

Simultaneously, the South South zone will hold its matches in Edo State, with the North Central qualifiers rounding out the schedule at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja.
