Nollywood actress Adunni Ade is celebrating a significant legal victory, securing a judgment in a N100 million defamation suit against a Nigerian news platform, Polace Media Limited ([www.naijanews.com].

The ruling comes nearly two years after the platform falsely accused Ade of being among “six popular Nigerian celebrities” allegedly dating Senator Dino Melaye.
The actress had vehemently denied the report at the time, proceeding to file a lawsuit for invasion of privacy and defamation.
In an update shared on her Instagram page on Tuesday evening, Adunni Ade lauded the Nigerian judicial system for delivering justice. “Won my case Adunni Ade vs. Polace Media Limited ([www.naijanews.com].
A false story was published about me, but truth stood tall. This judgment reaffirms that privacy matters – and so does integrity. Justice delayed isn’t justice denied,” she posted, celebrating the outcome.
Ade further hinted at ongoing legal battles, adding, “2 cases won, a few more to go. You who is running up and down avoiding court papers, please stand still, so that you can be served.”
Responding to inquiries in her comment section, the actress disclosed, “Judge granted N20 million in damages, but blogger don japa. Na to garnish account remain.”
This indicates that while damages were awarded, the process of actual financial recovery from the platform may still be underway.
