A Lagos State Magistrate Court in Ikorodu has designated three international laboratories—one in the United States and two in the United Kingdom—to conduct a DNA paternity test for Liam, the son of the late singer Mohbad.

Following the court session, Oladayo Ogungbe, counsel to the singer’s father, confirmed that the selection was a collaborative process: the singer’s widow, Wunmi, and his father, Joseph Aloba, each selected one facility, while the court appointed a third independent lab.
To ensure the integrity of the process, all parties and court welfare officers will witness the sample collection, which is scheduled for April 7, 2026.
