Only 38.32% of candidates obtained a minimum of five credits, including English and Mathematics, a sharp drop from the 72.12% recorded in 2024. WAEC’s Head of National Office, Dr. Amos Dangut, attributed this decline to the Council’s new approach of serializing objective test papers in key subjects.
Of the nearly 2 million candidates, 77.06% had their results fully released, while 22.94% are still being processed due to technical issues. The results of 192,089 candidates (9.75%) were withheld for examination malpractice, a slight improvement from the previous year.
