……..Atiku Ladies Movement Set To Mobiles 1.5 Million Women In Kaduna
The chances of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar in the 2019 Presidential election got a major boost in Kaduna as women from all walks of life gather to endorse him.
The women who were gathered under the aegis of The Atiku Ladies movement (ALM) Kaduna chapter, on Thursday, 13 August, held a summit at Chinchery Hotel Barnawa ,Kaduna.
The summit chaired by a representative of the Ashiru Campaign Team Kaduna, H.B Haruna , said that he is impressed seeing women coming out en-mass to “Make Nigeria Work Again”
The summit, with the theme “Overcoming Gender Challenges in Political Involvement” had Hon. Nkem Nze as the Guest Speaker.
The Guest Speaker charged women to be actively involved in partisan politics at all levels as women have both the skills and the number to take their rightful places in leadership positions in Nigeria.
Mrs Bevi Ogar, Deputy National Coordinator, ALM, while encouraging women to play active role in politics enjoyed all women present to ensure that the collect their PVC and encourage their husbands and children of voting age to do same.
Northwest coordinator, AB Kim Kure, in her address said women are catalyst of development and therefore should play a key role in determining who should lead lead the country. She said ” Atiku Abubakar is best qualified to lead this country and we will mobilize our household to vote for him.
Kaduna state coordinator is Omoniyi Oyerinde, who blamed the underdevelopment of Nigeria on nonparticipation of women in politics in the past said 2019 Election is going to be determined by women.
Omoniyi said, The Atiku Ladies Movement is not only behind Atiku for President but also behind all PDP contestants. She promised that her group will mobilize over 1.5 million women in Kaduna state alone.
Five national exco representatives led by Alm kano coordinator , Aisabatu Abbas, were in Attendance. Other PDP Aspirant , among them, Hon Ubankato was represented, others pledge tgher support for e group.
ALM, Atiku Ladies Movement, is a grassroots support group for Atiku Presidency in Nigeria.
