The resolution was disclosed in an Instagram video posted on Sunday, November 1, 2026, by fellow gospel artiste and close associate of the deceased, Lanre Alewilese.

The development follows days of public friction between the 32-year-old widow and the singer’s paternal family. Relatives had previously alleged in online interviews that Damilola refused to have the musician buried at his Ibadan home, preferring a public cemetery. The singer’s father, Muniru Adekunle Olayemi, countered by insisting that his son be laid to rest at his home or taken to his native village to be interred beside his late mother.

Addressing the controversy, Alewilese clarified that the dispute was a misunderstanding driven by conflicting advice during a period of acute grief.

“The disagreement between Toluwanisings’ father and his widow has been resolved. What happened was just a misunderstanding,” Alewilese stated. “The duo have agreed to bury Toluwanisings at his house. Please, for God’s sake, let peace reign. Damilola is very young for what she’s currently going through.”

He appealed to fans and the general public to cease online harassment directed at the widow and allow the family to proceed peacefully with the final rites for the 34-year-old artist, who passed away on October 14.
