The Commandant General , NSCDC, Mr Ahmed Abubakar Audi has urged a more responsive synergy among security agencies in driving the 3Cs components; Coordination, Cooperation and Collaboration to effectively adopt resilience mechanism against all forms of security challenges affecting the country.
Audi spoke on the sidelines in Government House shortly after a courtesy call session on governor Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto on Wednesday night.
He said the 3Cs were critical components that must be effectively channeled to dwarf ugly security situation stressing that all hands must be on deck.
” The situation has spread across the country that needs converted efforts and synergy.
” No one agency has monopoly of strategy . We must all come together for the peace and security of Nigeria. Working in synergy is the path to ending insecurity”, he pointed out .
He regretted that the spade of attacks in whatever guise by perpetrators disturbing to the nerves recalling that the current insecurity transmitted from insurgency to metamorphosed into terrorism and drifted to banditry and later kidnapping with wide spread cases across regions of the country.
Audi explained that, the Corps on its part, had closely entrenched and embraced a strategic paradigm shift through building a formidable force marshalling agai at illegal mining activities and pipelines vandals.
” This has significantly yielded results with the arrest of so.many suspects including foreigners and closure of over 1,000 illegal mining sites.
” We are practically involved in all security operations across the country and interestingly, we are doing averagely well despite the fact that we also loss our officers and men during such engagements on the field of operations”, explained the NSCDC Boss who was impressed by the performance of the Mr Usman Ishaq Alfadarai’s led Sokoto state Command.
