Honourable Gabriel Saleh, Member representing Kachia/Kagarko Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, has once again etched his name in history by spearheading the largest agricultural support initiative in the constituency’s recent memory.
In a landmark move, Hon. Saleh facilitated the distribution of 12 trucks of fertilizer to farmers across Kachia and Kagarko Local Government Areas — a gesture widely described as unprecedented in the constituency.
The distribution exercise, which drew large crowds of enthusiastic farmers and community leaders, is part of Hon. Saleh’s broader effort to boost food security and support smallholder farmers in the region ahead of the current farming season.
Speaking during the distribution ceremony, the lawmaker reaffirmed his commitment to delivering people-oriented programs that directly impact the livelihoods of his constituents. He noted that the fertilizer intervention was designed to ease the burden on local farmers struggling with high input costs.
“This is just the beginning,” Hon. Saleh stated. “We are working on more initiatives that will empower our people, particularly in the areas of agriculture, education, and health.”
Local farmers, traditional leaders, and youth groups hailed the initiative as a “historic breakthrough,” with many describing the intervention as the most significant agricultural support ever received in the area.
“This is the first time we are witnessing such large-scale distribution,” said Danjuma Iliya, a farmer from Jere. “We are grateful to Hon. Saleh for remembering the grassroots.”
The development marks a significant stride in Hon. Saleh’s legislative and constituency outreach, further solidifying his reputation as a proactive and responsive representative.
