The event will feature the hip-hop star alongside key political figures, including U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, Michael Waltz, and President Donald Trump’s advisor and event convener, Alex Bruesewit.
The news was first disclosed by Time senior political correspondent, Eric Cortellessa, late Sunday via X.
Confirming the report, U.S. envoy to the UN, Michael Waltz, praised Nicki Minaj, describing her as “not only arguably the greatest female recording artist, but also a principled individual who refuses to remain silent in the face of injustice.”
Minaj herself emphasized that she would never stand down in the face of injustice, adding that the influence God has given her has a bigger purpose than just music.
The high-profile event aims to draw international attention to the ongoing persecution and violence faced by Christian communities in Nigeria.
