The Nigerian Senate has cleared former Aviation Minister Femi Fani-Kayode and ex-presidential aide Reno Omokri for ambassadorial roles.

During its Thursday session, the upper chamber confirmed a total of 64 nominees after reviewing a report from the Foreign Affairs Committee.
The committee, led by Senator Sani Bello, verified that the candidates possessed the required qualifications and diplomatic knowledge to represent the nation.
Senate President Godswill Akpabio congratulated the new appointees, urging them to serve as effective bridges between Nigeria and their host countries.
