The Kaduna State Government has authorized the release of ₦4.289 billion to settle outstanding pension entitlements, gratuities, and death benefits for retired civil servants and families of deceased workers.

Governor Uba Sani approved the funds to address obligations under both the Contributory Pension Scheme and the Defined Benefit Scheme.
According to Commissioner for Information and Culture Ahmed Maiyaki, the intervention is part of a broader effort to clear the state’s outstanding liabilities and strengthen social protection for senior citizens.
Maiyaki noted that the payment aims to restore the dignity of retirees and honor their years of service to the state.
