Nollywood star and filmmaker Funke Akindele has addressed viral speculations suggesting she intentionally ignored Fuji icon Wasiu Alabi Pasuma at a recent event in Lagos.

The controversy sparked after a video surfaced on X showing Pasuma attempting to get the actress’s attention while she was engaged in conversation with another guest.
The footage, which was widely shared by influencers, led many to conclude that Akindele had snubbed the legendary musician.
However, Akindele has debunked these claims, explaining that the clip was a selective moment and did not reflect the entire interaction.
She clarified that she not only greeted Pasuma but also spent time dancing with him later at the same event.
The incident comes on the heels of a previous high-profile “snub” involving fellow actress Toyin Abraham at a movie premiere, which led to a public vow from Abraham to cease future interactions.
Despite the recurring social media scrutiny regarding her public etiquette, Akindele maintains that her relationship with the Fuji star remains respectful and cordial.
