The qualifiers are set to take place in Tanzania from September 25 to October 4, 2026.
Building on the momentum of their historic debut in Malaysia—where the team reached the Super Six stage—the federation has invited 21 players for the first phase of camping at the NCF High-Performance Centre.
The squad features a fresh crop of talent scouted from the 2025 and 2026 National U-17 Championships.
The technical crew is led by Kenyan coach Sarah Bhakita and the new national women’s team handler, Theophilus Ebidome, supported by former captain Blessing Etim.
Following the Benin phase, the team will move to Abuja for a second round of intensive training and final selection.
Nigeria is set to compete against a tough field including Namibia, Rwanda, Uganda, Zimbabwe, and the host nation Tanzania, alongside newly promoted Kenya and Malawi, for a spot at the global showpiece to be co-hosted by Bangladesh and Nepal.
