The National Forum of Former Legislators (NFFL), which filed the suit, alleges the parties breached Section 225 of the 1999 Constitution.
The court granted the NFFL permission to amend its summons to include additional political parties reportedly in violation of the law.
Justice Lifu emphasized the urgency of the case, noting that legal clarity is essential before the 2027 election primaries begin.
All parties must file their responses by May 1 ahead of the new hearing date.
