The announcement was made by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) on Monday, following a formal notification sent to GFA General Secretary Prosper Addo.
This marks the first time Ghana will host the tournament since 1999, the same year the Black Satellites clinched the continental title on home soil.
The GFA noted that the hosting rights reflect CAF’s confidence in Ghana’s organizational capacity and infrastructure. Notably, the 2027 event will coincide with the country’s 70th Independence anniversary.
CAF is expected to collaborate with the GFA and a Local Organising Committee to oversee the planning and execution of the youth tournament.
