The Federal Ministry of Petroleum Resources has engaged the DSS, EFCC, and Police in an emergency crackdown on the hoarding and illegal export of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG).

Announced Monday by the NMDPRA, the intervention follows a sharp rise in cooking gas prices, with the government aiming to stabilize supply and market affordability.
Permanent Secretary Patience Oyekunle underscored that LPG is vital for Nigeria’s energy transition, warning that current price hikes are placing unsustainable pressure on household budgets.
