The Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council, PEBEC, has held its 2026 Nationwide Town Hall and Stakeholders Engagement Tour in Kaduna State, gathering public and private sector leaders to hammer out strategies for economic growth.

The high-level workshop focuses on eliminating bureaucratic bottlenecks, boosting regulatory efficiency, and deepening business reforms across the state.
Welcoming delegates, the Kaduna State Commissioner for Business, Innovation, and Technology, Patience Fakai, underscored the importance of the initiative to the local economy
Adding perspective to the mission, the Director General of PEBEC, Princess Zahrah Mustapha Audu, elaborated on why direct local collaboration remains the council’s primary weapon against economic stagnation.
The engagement shifted into high gear during a panel discussion focused on current reform challenges and operational opportunities.
The panel featured key administrative heads, including the Directors General of the Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service (KADIRS) and the Kaduna State Urban Planning and Development Authority (KASUPDA), alongside the Executive Secretary of the Kaduna Investment Promotion Agency (KADIPA).
The event wrapped up with an interactive public-private dialogue, allowing local business owners to voice their challenges directly to policymakers.
