CBN Lifts Forex Ban On 43 Items, See full List

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has denied plans to re-denominate the naira, saying, the statement credited to it on the various social media platforms are fake.

The Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, has lifted the foreign exchange, FOREX, restriction on importation of 43 items.

The apex bank had in 2015 restricted the items from accessing FX from the I&E window, saying they were “not valid for foreign exchange and could be produced in the country.

7 Meat and processed meat products

8 Vegetables and processed vegetable products

9 Poultry and processed poultry products

10 Tinned fish in sauce (Geisha)/sardine

12 Galvanized steel sheets

13 Roofing sheets

14 Wheelbarrows

15 Head pans

16 Metal boxes and containers

17 Enamelware
