Defence Minister Mohammed Badaru Resigns on Health Grounds

The Minister of Defence, Mohammed Badaru, has resigned from his appointment with immediate effect.

The resignation was officially confirmed on Monday by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga. Badaru’s resignation was submitted in a letter addressed to President Bola Tinubu and dated December 1.

The presidential spokesman confirmed that the former Minister resigned citing health grounds as the reason for his decision.

Onanuga concluded that President Tinubu has accepted Badaru’s resignation and extended his gratitude to the Minister for his services to the nation during his tenure.
