The inspection team, led by CAF Head of Safety and Security Dr. Christian Emeruwa, concluded its final assessment of venue readiness and logistics for both continental events. The General Assembly is scheduled for November 21, 2026, in Abuja, while the CAF Awards will take place on December 7, 2026, in Lagos.

Guided by a six-member Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) team headed by Director of Communications Dr. Ademola Olajire, the delegation evaluated key infrastructure across the Federal Capital Territory. Inspected venues included the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre, the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, and Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport.

During a strategic briefing with the Chairman of the National Sports Commission (NSC), Mallam Shehu Dikko, the officials reviewed operational logistics covering accommodation, transportation, medical protocols, and immigration entry procedures.

Reaffirming the Federal Government’s commitment, Dikko stated that Nigeria is fully prepared to deliver seamless, world-class hosting standards for African football’s premier administrative and celebratory gatherings.

Following the conclusion of their evaluation, the inspection panel will compile and submit its final technical report to CAF management.
