Nigeria’s Falconets have secured qualification for the knockout stage of the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup following a commanding 10–1 victory over New Caledonia in their final Group F match in Poland on Sunday.

The decisive win elevated Moses Aduku’s side to four points from three group matches, securing second place in Group F behind group leaders Spain and booking their place in the Round of 16.
Nigeria finished level on four points with China—who suffered a 3–1 defeat to Spain in their final fixture—but advanced ahead of the Asian side on superior goal difference. Spain topped the group with a maximum of nine points.
The Falconets had previously opened their tournament campaign with a 2–0 loss to Spain before securing a goalless draw against China.
The two-time tournament runners-up now progress to the single-elimination phase as one of the top two teams from Group F, joining the group leaders and the four best third-placed teams in the Round of 16.
