The Federal Government has appointed several high-profile Nollywood figures, including Funke Akindele, Toyin Abraham, and Joke Silva, to the entertainment committee for the upcoming 2026 National Women Mega Empowerment and Rally.

Organized by the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs, the event is themed “The Power of 10 Million.”
It aims to gather 10 million women at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja on May 5, 2026, to celebrate and promote the economic and creative contributions of Nigerian women.
The entertainment committee, which will oversee all cultural and creative programming for the rally, is chaired by actresses Rahama Sadau and Eniola Badmus, alongside Tola Akerele and Ngozi Okoh.
The lineup also features veteran industry stars such as Fausat Balogun (Madam Saje), Toyin Adegbola, and Remi Oshodi.
The broader organizing efforts for the landmark event include key figures such as the First Lady of Lagos State, Dr. Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, and the Minister of Art, Culture, and the Creative Economy, Hannatu Musawa.
