Gov Aliyu Sokoto committed to transform , reposition Sokoto state – Goronyo

The Minister of State for Works, Barrister Muhammad Bello Goronyo says Governor Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto is focused and committed to transform and reposition Sokoto state.

“He has a vision for a more developed and transformed Sokoto state with wide range of opportunities for citizens and the state to thrive economically for sustainable growth .”

Goronyo told reporters in Sokoto while commenting on the 2 years journey of the APC led government of Aliyu Sokoto.

He noted that the the governor came on board when the state was suffering from deterioration as a result of total neglect by the immediate past PDP government which subjected the city centre to na eye sore.

” Governor Aliyu Sokoto did not waste time to connect the city centre with quality road network.

” Before his coming almost all connecting roads within the city centre were not motorable especially talking of our round abouts which were characterised by potholes. But today, the metropolis is wearing attractive looks”, he explained.

Accordingly, the Minister noted that within the two years of the governor, the state has enjoyed relative peace due to his resilience at ensuring security of lives and property especially in the eastern part of the state which suffered series of bandits attacks.

” The governor is able to prioritise security with effective and efficient collaboration with agencies braced by FG support to achieve the feat.

” We are lucky to have someone like Aliyu Sokoto and needa to be supported to enable him consolidate on his 9-point smart agenda drive for more positive development “, he remarked pointing out that the governor was leaving no stone unturned at ensuring improved standard and quality education, health , boost dry and wet season agriculture activities through the provision of modern inputs as fertilisers , equipment and seedlings among other consumables for food massive production and security.
