During an interactive session with journalists in Kaduna on Saturday, the chairman of the association, Reverend John Joseph Hayab, explained that a united front against terrorists would significantly help in reducing violence, particularly in the northern region.
Reverend Hayab noted that Nigerians should not see one another as enemies but should instead work together for national progress.
He encouraged citizens to hold their leaders accountable and push for policies that promote development and safety for all.
The chairman also expressed concern over reports of certain groups attempting to create division in the North through targeted attacks on Christians in North Central states like Kogi and Kwara.
He urged residents in those areas to remain calm but alert, advising them to report any suspicious activities to the relevant security agencies. Finally, he called on security forces to increase their efforts to ensure that those attempting to destabilize the peace do not succeed.
