Seyi Law Fires Back at Atiku’s Over ‘Drug Baron’ Comment on Tinubu

Popular Nigerian comedian and vocal supporter of the President, Seyi Law, has publicly fired back at Shehu Abubakar, the son of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, after Shehu referred to President Bola Tinubu as a “drug baron.”

The political clash was ignited by U.S. President Donald Trump, who recently branded Nigeria a “now disgraced country” while threatening military intervention over alleged Christian genocide.

Responding to Nigerians upset by the foreign criticism, Shehu Abubakar posted on X: “Why citizens were upset that Donald Trump called the country disgraceful?

He further stated that while he knows the label “hurts the nation’s pride,” Nigerians must first “look inwards and hold each other accountable before accusing outsiders.”

Defending President Tinubu, Seyi Law, a known supporter of the current administration, quickly responded on his own X account by questioning the integrity of Atiku Abubakar.

The comedian reminded Shehu of how his father, Atiku Abubakar, was indicted for money laundering in the U.S. during the former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s administration, drawing a direct parallel between the past allegations against the father and the current comments made by the son.
