The news was confirmed by the team’s media unit on Wednesday, which indicated that “all pending issues have now been resolved,” leading to the immediate resumption of preparations.
The players had boycotted a scheduled training session on Tuesday in a show of discontent and protest. The team’s action was rooted in the persistent demand for the payment of overdue bonuses, following a prolonged wait for promised funds from the football authorities.
The standoff had previously cast a shadow of doubt over the team’s mental readiness and preparation for qualifying for the next year’s FIFA World Cup in North America.
The squad, under the guidance of Coach Eric Chelle, is now focused on the game, which is set to kick off on Thursday at 5:00 PM (Nigerian Time).
According to the media unit, the Super Eagles are preparing for their second official training session since their arrival in Rabat on Monday. The team had managed just one training featuring 16 players on Monday, November 10, before the industrial action began. CULLED FROM LEADERSHIP
