The Nigerian side holds a 2–0 aggregate lead following their first-leg victory, positioning them as strong favorites to advance.

However, interim head coach Augustine Eguavoen has issued a stern warning to his squad, emphasizing that any lapse in concentration or complacent display could jeopardize their qualification campaign.

With kickoff scheduled for today, coach Eguavoen stressed the importance of maintaining tactical discipline and finishing strong on home soil, despite the two-goal cushion.

A win or draw will formally seal Nigeria’s passage to the next qualification round as they continue their bid for a spot at the 2028 Olympic Games.
