2019: Caution el-Rufai For Advising You Against Conceding Defeat, Atiku Care Foundation Tells Buhari

The Atiku Care Foundation has advised President Muhammad Buhari to concede defeat if he is beaten by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and also caution his supporters like the Kaduna State Governor, Malam Nasir el-Rufai against comments suggesting that he would not concede if beaten.

This was expressed in a statement signed by its National Chairman, Ambassador Aliyu Bin Abbas, made available to newsmen on Wednesday November 21, 2018, reacting to the comments by President Buhari on ex President Goodluck Jonathan.

“While we thank President Buhari for this unbiased comment on our leader, we also want to call on him to emulate Jonathan and caution some of his loyal party men like Malam Nasir El-Rufai who devilishly and openly asserted that you will not concede defeat in the upcoming presidential election.

“The foundation is very confident that all indications point to the defeat of your candidacy and advise that you make adequate preparations to vacate as at when due,” it stated.

According to the statement titled ‘Buhari too should emulate Jonathan’ the foundation urged Buhari to emulate Jonathan.

“The Atiku Care Foundation wishes to assure President Buhari that his call on Nigerian youth to emulate the former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan for his hard work and selfless service to Nigeria, is received with all sense of seriousness and will be canvassed to get to millions Nigerian youths whom you had labelled as lazy and waiting for government to take care of them,” it explained.

The foundation said that the generality of Nigerian youths appreciate ex President Jonathan for creating jobs, investing in education; as he built several modern schools for Almajiris in the North.

“They respect and honour Jonathan’s commitment to fostering peace and stability amongst the different ethnic groups as against some being labelled as 5% or 95% voters who will get discriminated against in the distribution of our national wealth.

“For the teeming Nigerian youths, President Jonathan is a role model,” it noted.
