Charting New Horizon: Youth, Innovation and Bridging Frontiers for Open Governance
The goals of the event where to:
Increase awareness of students and other stakeholders on OGP Kaduna and opportunities for citizens’ engagement.
To brainstorm strategies and generate recommendations to encourage youth participation in governance leveraging OGP.
Promote the participation of students in governance with the Launch #OGPYouthScaleUp Campus Ignite and campus chapter.
In participation were, students from Kasu, Kadpoly, NYSC, tech hubs, Past OGP Co-Chair, OGP Citizens Advisor OGP,Dean Student Affairs; ASUU Chairman, KASU, representative of the Vice-chancellor, PERL, SA to the Governor on Student Matters, the honourable commissioner PBC represented by Director Monitoring and Valuation.
PoC made a presentation on understanding OGP and Kaduna State Story, stating areas youth can leverage on to participate in governance and ensure service delivery.
