2023: Sokoto APC vows to reclaim mandate – Aliyu Sokoto

FORMER Sokoto state deputy governor, Alhaji Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto has said that the All Progressives Congress (APC) is ready to reclaim its stolen mandate come 2023.

Aliyu, the Sokoto state gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress in 2019 general elections lost to opposition Aminu Tambuwal of the PDP by a 342 margin after a Supreme Court verdict.

The Executive Secretary , Police Trust Fund made the remark on Saturday at the party’s Sokoto south local government congress exercise.

He said ” APC is waxing stronger and more formidable in readiness to win the state governorship seat in 2023.

” Sokoto people are a testimony to the popularity of our great party, APC.

” It is the party to beat and therefore, those in the opposition PDP that are disenchanted should not hesitate to find APC a better option to join.

” We are ready and willing to accept you with our unique hands of political friendship “, he urged .

The former deputy Governor further commended the party for providing consensus and elective options for the conduct of the congress exercise.

According to him” this is the beauty of democracy globally. Everyone is free to participate in the process as well decide what will be democratically acceptable to members “, he observed.
