24 Abducted Kebbi Schoolgirls Regain Freedom

The Presidency has announced the release of the 24 schoolgirls who were recently abducted by bandits in Maga, Kebbi State.

In a statement issued on Tuesday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Bola Tinubu welcomed the safe return of the students.

According to Onanuga, President Tinubu applauded the nation’s security agencies for their intensified efforts to secure the freedom of all the victims taken away by the terrorists.

While celebrating the release of the 24 girls, the President tasked the security agencies to “intensify efforts to rescue the remaining students still being held captive,” signaling that the operation to free all abductees is ongoing.
