The remains of Representative, Alhaji Abdullahi Muhammad Wamakko ( APC-Kware/Wamakko), was yesterday night laid to rest according to Islamic rites.
A statement Saturday by the Special Assistant to Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, Senator representing Sokoto North Senatorial District, Bashir Rabe Mani said
the deceased was buried in Wamakko, his family home after a funeral prayer conducted at the Wamakko Central Mosque, Wamakko, led by the Chief of Imam of Wamakko, Alhaji Shehu Ardo.
The statement said that the late lawmaker who was born in January, 1967, died on Friday at an Abuja Hospital after a brief illness.
The prayer was attended by Gov. Aminu Tambuwal,his predecessor, Sen. Aliyu Wamakko, National Vice Chairman of the All Progressives Congress( APC), North West, Alhaji Inuwa Abdulkadir, members of the National and State Assemblies, members of the state executive council and politicians, among others.
Until his death, he was the Vice Chairman of the House Committee on the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency(FERMA), apart from membership of several House Committees.
The deceased, who was the Yariman Wamakko and younger brother to Sen. Aliyu Wamakko( APC-Sokoto State), had represented the constituency from 2011 to his death on Friday. He is survived by a wife and five children.
