ADC Welcomes 5000 Decampees from APC, PDP, Labour Party

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has recorded a massive increase in membership as they received 5000 Decampees from various political Parties.

The State Chairman of the Party, Hon. Ahmed Tijjani Mustapha, disclosed this during a press conference held at the ADC Global Campus and Youths Transformation Center in Kaduna yesterday.

The 5,000 decampees include members from the All Progressive Congress (APC), People’s Democratic Party (PDP), New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), and the Labour Party.

He explained that there is no surprise to the new development as he expected it, especially since the welcoming of the first 10,000 decampees about a month back.

“To tell you the truth, I am not surprised at all. When we welcomed the 10,000 decampees last month, I said that more are coming and that is the case today.

“We also have in our midst Almustapha Grassroots Vanguard from Zaria LGA, Members of Hannu Dayawa Women Association, Members of the Pan Democratic Coalition (PANDECO), and Members of Arewa Consultative Progressive Forum.

“These are Pressure and Civil Society Groups that also have the Mass Mobilization Network of our Party last month, and ADC Kaduna Family Welcomes you all.

“Your decision to join us is a testament to our shared vision for a better Nigeria. Today marks a significant milestone in our journey toward creating positive democratic change in our dear nation.

“As we gather here today, we are also proud to tell you that the African Democratic Congress embodies the values of a great Party, and we are confident that he will provide the leadership that our people and the Country deserve.

Expressing optimism, the State Chairman said that every one or two months, the Party should be expecting more decampees from other Political Parties.

One of the decampees, Emmanuel Patrick, who is the Vice President of Kakuri Hausa, Ward 3, said he has no regrets about his decision to join the ADC.

According to him, it is a delight to see a Party where there are no religious sentiments, tribalism, or favoritism.

“I have been to political Parties where they favor one tribe over the other, Parties where they choose based on religion, and you cannot find peace or progress there.

“ADC is the kind of Party that will make Nigeria grow better than it is now and this is the kind of Family I want to belong.”

Emmanuel Patrick disclosed that he decamped to the ADC with over 2,000 members from his side to show the confidence he has in the Party.

Similarly, the representative of PANDECO, Vivian Sunday said her organization is more than happy to join hands with the ADC to make Nigeria great.

She noted that a beautiful thing to note about the ADC is the free and fair elections they execute in unity and peace.

“In everything we do, togetherness is what we want, not just that but also, a moving train that will continue even after the journey,” she concluded.
