Speaking at the FIFA Congress, Infantino highlighted the massive scale of interest in the upcoming 48-team tournament, noting that the combined requests for the 2018 and 2022 World Cups totaled only 50 million.

The federation confirmed that approximately 90% of the ticket inventory released thus far has already been sold.

While interest is at an all-time high, the tournament has faced criticism regarding ticket affordability for local fans in the host nations. Infantino addressed these concerns by stating that FIFA is offering a variety of pricing tiers to maintain accessibility.

To manage the historic demand and maximize commercial revenue, FIFA will continue to release tickets in structured phases leading up to the competition.
