Gbajabiamila Threatens ₦10bn Defamation Lawsuit Over Bribery, Murder Allegations

Femi Gbajabiamila, the Chief of Staff to President Bola Tinubu, has threatened a ₦10 billion defamation lawsuit against Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi over allegations of bribery and an assassination attempt.

In a legal demand letter signed by his counsel, Kemi Pinheiro (SAN), the Chief of Staff gave Adeyemi a 72-hour ultimatum to retract his statements, take down all circulating videos of his June 26 press conference, and publish a formal apology in at least five national newspapers and across social media platforms.

Pinheiro labeled Adeyemi’s claims as “malicious, reckless, and entirely without factual foundation,” stating they were deliberately designed to paint the Chief of Staff as corrupt, morally bankrupt, and a murderer.

The legal notice demands that Adeyemi—who claims to lead a disputed and unverified “Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council” (PFIPC)—cease and desist from making further defamatory remarks and provide a written undertaking to that effect.

Gbajabiamila’s legal team warned that failure to comply within the 72-hour window will result in immediate legal action, including a suit for ₦10 billion in damages and a perpetual injunction restraining further publications.
