The 2026 FIFA World Cup Final on Sunday introduced its first-ever Halftime Show, featuring a massive collaborative performance by some of the world’s biggest musical acts, including Nigeria’s Burna Boy.

The event marked a new milestone for African music, with the Grammy-winning Nigerian singer standing out as the sole representative from the continent on the global broadcast.
Taking the stage at the packed stadium in New Jersey, Burna Boy teamed up with Colombian pop icon Shakira for a high-energy rendition of the official tournament anthem, ‘Dai Dai.’
The multi-genre entertainment spectacle also brought together a rare collection of international stars, with performances from American pop artist Justin Bieber, K-pop group BTS, Madonna, and British band Coldplay.
To close out the tournament’s entertainment segments, digital creator iShowSpeed also took the stage to perform his theme song, ‘Champions.’
