Women’s World Cup following a 111–56 loss to France in their final group-stage fixture in Berlin.

The defeat marked the third consecutive loss for the reigning African champions at the tournament, following earlier setbacks against South Korea and Hungary.

The result leaves D’Tigress at the bottom of their group, bringing a abrupt conclusion to their World Cup campaign.

The tournament exit stands in sharp contrast to the team’s recent international achievements, which included securing a fifth consecutive continental title at AfroBasket and reaching the Olympic quarter-finals for the first time in the country’s history.

Despite those prior accomplishments, D’Tigress struggled to maintain consistency throughout the group phase in Berlin, culminating in a decisive loss against the French side.
