In an official statement signed by NCDC Director General Dr. Jide Idris, the agency confirmed that comprehensive preparedness activities are underway across the nation to mitigate any potential threat of disease transmission.

As part of enhanced public health surveillance measures, travelers arriving from countries with active or relevant EVD transmission are required to complete Health Declaration Forms.

The NCDC urged members of the public to remain vigilant, monitor for symptoms associated with EVD, and immediately seek medical evaluation while disclosing relevant travel or exposure history where applicable.

According to the Centre, the advisory follows a Dynamic Risk Assessment conducted in close consultation with public health experts and the Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare.

The agency reiterated its commitment to safeguarding public health through rigorous, evidence-based surveillance and response protocols.
