….As Ambrose Ali’s daughter, others joins APC.
The All Progressives Congress in Edo State on Saturday, January 11, 2019, further consolidated its base in state by making inroads into the contentious Edo Central Senatorial District when the illusive Esan West Local Govt Area was brought to a standstill.
This show of political dominance was evident by the caliber of personality across board who graced an end of year social gathering which quickly metamorphoses in to a political gathering.
The event which was a “thank you for supporting us” get together was organised by front line ranking member of the APC and former speaker of Edo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Thomas Okosun.
Hon Okosun, who is fondly called “Uncle T” by his constituents, in his welcome address told the mammoth crowd that the APC under the leadership of of its National Chairman, Comrade Adams Oshiomohle, is stronger than ever and better positioned to meet the hopes and aspirations of his constituents and Nigerians at large.
While making reference to bickering in some quarters in respect of the purported suspension of Adams Oshiomohle by a group sponsored by Gov Obaseki, Okosun wondered how it is possible for Obaseki who is just a governor in only Edo state to suspend someone that was elected by member in 36 states and Abuja.
Describing Obaseki as a political goner, Uncle T said Obaseki is a political “Lilliputian” who lacks the strength of character to manage the office that Oshiomohle and others helped he to occupy. He said Obasekis’ actions and utterances can only be likened to someone trying to bite the fingers that is feeding him even when he is not yet satisfied.
Hon Okosun, used the occasion to unveil the party leadership structure in his political ward which he said will be led Godday Alikhiluilu aka Jealousy in consultation with Hon. Gideon Obvakhan, a former Commissioner of Education under Oshiomohle.
The high point of the gathering was when Okosun handed over the new members, constituting of the daughter of late Prof. Ambrose Ali in the person of Rosemary Ambrose Ali and other former ranking members of the PDP to the State Chairman of the APC in Edo state Col David Imosen retired.
The Party Chairman in accepting the new members assured them that they would be fairly and equitably treated in the APC.
